A €25 million campaign to help FoodCloud rescue One Billion Meals by 2030, in Ireland and through its technology in other countries.

The situation

FoodCloud had built something unusual: a food rescue operation in Ireland and a technology platform, Foodiverse, already used by food banks in other countries. Its founders wanted to grow both at once, and needed philanthropic support at a new scale to do it. The question was how much, from whom, and for what.

What we did

The planning phase ran from June to December 2023, with 34 confidential conversations. They tested the proposition and a table of gifts, and helped to shape the goal.

The campaign that emerged has three strands: rescue as much food as possible in Ireland, share Foodiverse with food banks around the world, and be a catalyst for change in policy and public understanding. In 2024 we built the case for support and the briefing materials, formed a Development Council, and held a quiet-phase information evening for business and philanthropic leaders. In 2025 we trained the team in moves management.

What changed

FoodCloud entered its campaign with a tested goal, a clear proposition, senior advocates, and a team trained to manage its major donor relationships itself.

Cōnsilium guided us through the planning stages of our €25M 'One Billion Meals' campaign. Their structured approach strengthened our fundraising capacity, and James' major gift expertise boosted donor engagement, built momentum, and ensured a foundation for success.
